What do you do as a COAST volunteer?  I welcome visitors to the Discovery Centre, introducing them to COAST and the exhibits.  I also help out at shore scrambles, act as shore support for snorkelling sessions and assist at events.

Why do you volunteer with COAST?  It’s rewarding to be part of the team supporting COAST’s mission and I’m continually learning!

Which is your favourite marine animal and why? Starfish because they’re beautiful and they can regenerate an arm if it’s lost to a predator.

What would you say to local people who would like to volunteer with COAST?  Don’t feel that you need to know about the marine environment before joining COAST – you’ll learn on the way!
