Following the publication of Scotland’s National Marine Plan, the Clyde Coastal Forum evolved into the Clyde Marine Planning Partnership, it is comprised of more than twenty organisations and statutory bodies who have a stake in how the Clyde Marine Region is managed. This partnership is under ministerial direction to produce a Regional Marine Plan in 2020. COAST’s co-founder Howard Wood is on the Board. Paul Chandler, our Executive Director, is a voting member of the partnership to ensure community voices and experiences from Arran are taken into account when policy decisions are being made, which impact the sustainable livelihoods of our coastal communities and the future of our marine resources.
