Response of decapod Crustaceans to protection within the Lamlash Bay No-take Zone, Scotland., Judge M.

The abundance and characteristics of European lobsters, brown crabs and velvet crabs in the Lamlash Bay NTZ was studied to determine the effects of 6 years of protection. Lobster catches were greater in the NTZ, indicating substantial population recovery even though more lobsters were injured in the NTZ.
