In Spring 2020 we got brand new t-shirt’s into stock, which featured marine creature silhouettes creating the outline of the Isle of Arran.
We got in every colour imaginable, and they started to fly off the shelves. Given the global pandemic occurring at the time, and with Rainbows being the National symbol of support for our front line workers, COAST decided to donate a proportion of every T-shirt sale in the month of May to the Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance – as our way of saying thank you to key workers. We chose the SCAA as, as islanders, we are reliant on their services 100% of the time, not just during a pandemic. They are entirely reliant on public donations and we felt they were a worthy cause.
In June we sent them a cheque for £153 – money you all helped raised whilst supporting COAST by buying our merchandise. We received this letter of thanks as an acknowledgement.
