Following a month of public consultation, hundreds of comments have once again been submitted to North Ayrshire Council Planning in objection to the Scottish Salmon Company’s revised proposal for a salmon farm off Millstone Point, Arran.

This supplementary letter was also submitted:
- Concerns about the seabed and marine life survey data used in the environmental assessment*
*these same concerns were also raised with SEPA who are responsible for issuing CAR (Controlled Activities Regulation) licenses for aquaculture developments.
We expect the NAC Planning Committee to meet in early 2021 to determine the outcome of this application; we have requested to present our thoughts at this meeting. Meanwhile, please continue to share our petition against the development.
