Dive surveys between 2010 and 2013 found an increased abundance of juvenile scallops in the Lamlash Bay NTZ, which may be explained by greater spat settlement and/or survival in complex seabed habitats. Adult king scallop size, biomass and age was greater in the NTZ, while queen scallop populations were random.
