On Sunday 5th January 2020, The Guardian newspaper published an article highlighting the calls from the coalition #OurSeas, formed of community, fishing and marine protection groups who want to see fish stocks recovered in Scottish waters.
In August 2019 COAST was one of 45 signatories on open letters to the First Minister and the Environment Climate Change and Land Reform (ECCLR) Committee, seeking urgent action to protect our National waters.
From our beginning we have worked with fishing organisations to protect the seabed and restore diverse and productive seas that benefit fishers and all other businesses, which rely on sustainable coastal and maritime ecosystems.
