North Arran Salmon Farm Refused
In March 2021, North Ayrshire Council Planning Committee unanimously refused the Scottish Salmon Company’s application for a salmon farm off the north east coast of Arran at Millstone Point. There was masss community opposition to this farm, which would have spoiled one of Arran’s truly wild and tranquil coastlines.
