Marine survey to identify maerl beds: Lamlash Bay long sea outfall., Kamenos P. G. et al.

Dive and acoustic survey techniques were used to study the presence and abundance of maerl around the site of a proposed sewage pipeline in Lamlash Bay. The surveys revealed a mix of live and dead maerl which would suffer severe impacts if the pipeline went ahead.
