2012 Seasearch Success on Arran

Cerianthius-lloydii

Despite some pretty lumpy weather, a crew of volunteer divers were able to undertake a Seasearch weekend off the coast of Arran in late June. The crew which inclu

ded volunteers from Heriot Watt Univeristy, the Marine Conservation Society and Seasearchers from around the UK spent two days diving around Lamlash Bay and south west Arran. Excitingly they were able to confirm the existence of extensive maerl beds off the south west coast which will reinforce COAST's MPA proposal for the area. COAST would like to thank all those involved.
